Red Hot Chili Peppers lead singer and founding member Anthony Kiedis has joined fellow musician Carlos Santana in Garden Isle real estate dealings this summer. Santana’s adventure found him upgrading on Kauai to the tune of $20.5 million; Kiedis is selling his property on the island for $9.975 million.

The secluded beachfront property measures in at .42 acres. The residence is a 2,933 square-footer which might be called modern tropical in style; hipped tongue-in groove ceilings, sliding glass doors, ceiling fans, glossy walnut plank floors all contribute to the living style. It is elevated on posts against storm tides.

The house contains three bedrooms and four baths, including a master suite that features a private lanai and a large dedicated bath; the other two bedrooms are en-suite. The kitchen boasts a center island, basalt caps, and stainless. The outdoor living areas culminate in a ground-level living area with a stone tile floor.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have sold over 80 million records worldwide. Their twelfth studio album is in the works.
