American motorcycle firm turned lifestyle brand Harley-Davidson introduced the 2021 Sportster S this summer, highlighting the 1,250cc V-twin engine as it rolled out the new performance ride. It’s the Revolution Max engine, and it appears to be the same powerplant that Harley installed to much ballyhoo in the Pan America 1250 model.
The Sportster hails from the ICE front, continuing a model tradition that began in the 1950s. The ‘S’ designation indicates sport, of course, and the bike’s 121 available horsepower makes it a versatile ride that’s comfortable in the city but also geared to highway travel.
This new Sportster is tech-heavy, of course, and comes with a 4-inch TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity, and all LED lighting. Safety features include ABS and Traction Control, and the bike features customizable ride modes. Additional customization options include a Mid-control kit, a Pillion and backrest, and a tailbag. The ‘Wild One’ turnkey package treatment brings a personalized style to the whole bike.
The news from the company comes alongside updates regarding the company’s LiveWire spinoff, an EV manufacturing outfit that revealed its One electric motorcycle model earlier this month.
