Actress Emma Kenney is the new owner of this recently renovated, 1938-built early modern in the hills above Sunset. Kenney dropped $3.35 million on the property, a lifestyle investment that contrasts ebulliently bright interiors with exceedingly lush landscaping and a great deal of privacy.

The renovation includes white oak plank floors, a waterfall marble island in the kitchen, and steel-framed doors, with the living room receiving a fold-away wall that opens to the patio. The interiors are modern, with industrial touches, and skylights to further open up the rooms.

The outdoor living space is marvelous. The landscaping design includes hedge-rimmed plantings, and the emphasis on tropical flora gives the freeform pool a lagoon-ish feel. A terrace with a fire feature completes the scene.

Kenney currently stars in ABC’s Roseanne spinoff The Conners.
