Married musicians Faith Hill and Tim McGraw passed their compound outside Music City to a new owner recently.

The sale brought to a close a protracted run on the open market; according to public records, the pair had been trying to sell the property for about three years when an acceptable offer was submitted. The 622-acre estate’s last listing found it asking $18.5 million. The sale price was $15 million, according to The Nashville Business Journal.

There are six homes on the massive property. Getting top billing is an antebellum Georgian with a two-story neoclassical pediment; the house dates to 1800, and contains three bedrooms and four baths in its 3,152 sq. ft. of interior living space. A testament to its era is its six fireplaces.

Additional structures and residences on the property include caretaker’s and guest houses, a restored log home, and agrarian/equestrian facilities: a gambrel-roofed barn, a storage outbuilding, a silo, and a stable with accommodations for twelve. The land is stunningly beautiful, a pastoral postcard of tree-dotted meadows, paddocks and water.

Earlier this year, the couple listed an altogether different kind of property: a private island retreat in the Bahamas.

Hill’s and McGraw’s studio albums have topped country charts as well as the Billboard 200. McGraw’s most recent release is 2020’s Here on Earth.
