Actress Julie Bowen listed her midcentury modern home in Los Angeles recently. An offer on the property came in mighty quickly; the Modern Family star listed the 1959-built house with a $3.85 million ask in the second week of last month.
The house was designed by Thornton Abell, who also designed one of the houses in the Case Study Program: CSH #7. Like that home, the house in question features an open living area divided by partitions. It also boasts an outdoor poolside living area with a fireplace, terrazzo floors, and lots and lots of glass.
The house is situated on a 1.03-acre lot in Hollywood Hills, and features fine views of the canyon and local flora. A guest house and a detached gym are included in the property layout, bringing the total interior living area to 3,212 sq. ft., with four bedrooms and four baths throughout.
Bowen’s recent projects include The Fallout, with Shailene Woodley.
