It took over four years for pop-country crossover singer Kelly Clarkson to sell her chateau-esque mansion in Tennessee, but the property did find a new buyer. The waterfront estate began its long market journey in 2017, when it asked $8.8 million; it ultimately changed hands for $6.3 million. It was priced at $6.95 million prior to the closing.
The mansion’s exterior features a soaring, three-story layout. Inside, the home’s living style is expressed in terms of western glam; highlights for devotees of the style include a lower-level lounge with a full-sized bar sporting saddle-capped stools—that’s Western saddle, not English, of course—as well as stone walls.
Other highlights of the 2007-built house include a soaring great room with an upper-level gallery overlook, a large kitchen with a tile floor, and a master bedroom with a dome ceiling and a glitzy chandelier; the master bath is centered by a queenly soaking tub. Reclaimed wood pops up frequently, and is most notably used for the master bedroom doors.
The 20,121 sq. ft. house is augmented by a conservatory, a pool with a neoclassical-inspired pool house, and a playground. The 4.06-acre property overlooks Cumberland River.
Clarkson currently hosts her eponymous daytime television variety talk show.
