Adam Horovitz, of Beastie Boys fame, is back in the real estate news this season.
The last time we heard from Ad-Rock, he had just closed on a scenic, 1912-built, South Pasadena property to the tune of $1.7 million. But that was back in 2018. Three years later, the quick-witted rhymester is the seller, and the property is in New Jersey.
The house is priced at $975,000. It contains three bedrooms and three baths, and sits on a waterfront lot overlooking Upper Greenwood Lake. Inside, the home’s mid-1950s vintage really comes into focus, with half-vaulted ceilings, a fireplace in a masonry accent wall, clerestory windows, and wood accents.
The property’s idyllic location brings great views into the bedrooms. The primary exterior amenity is a dock with a boat slip.
The Beastie Boys’ first studio album, 1986’s License to Ill, shot to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. The band would release three more No. 1 albums throughout their career. Their last studio release, 2011’s Hot Sauce Committee Part II, peaked at No. 2.
