Iggy Azalea is the new owner of this revised ranch in Hidden Hills. The rap star had to shell out $5.2 million for the 5,228 sq. ft. property, which comes with five bedrooms and five baths, guest house included.

The exterior architecture and materials inject some midcentury modern elements and red brick into the façade, enough to betray the house’s early 1960’s vintage. Indoor living spaces include a gem of a living room with a fireplace flanked by French doors and series clerestories, and a cathedral ceiling accented with exposed timber.

The kitchen’s another gem, a large space with exposed beams and a combination of a pale pea-green country-house island and natural stone tinged with beiges and subtle yellows, while the dining room is given character by way of a whitewashed masonry fireplace accent wall with a raised hearth. The home’s layout puts the bedrooms in their own wing, with the master packing in a sitting room with a fireplace, a large bath with a spa-like feel, and a walk-in closet. On both floors, scraped hardwood plank is used, exclusive of the baths.

Inside the guest house, there’s a lot to like. The shared living spaces are both rustic and urbane, with modern linearity tempered by a great deal of wood, and a loft-like feel; all told, the two-level cottage would make a great studio. The 1.06 acres of grounds feature walking paths, arbors, gardens, and a stone pool and patio area.

Azalea has sold over 48 million records worldwide. Her third studio album, titled End of an Era, is expected to be released this summer.
