Since 2019, singer-songwriter Adele has been compiling a compound in a storied corner of Los Angeles. Spring is the magic house-buying season for the gifted, media-shy performer; the sale marks the third closing she’s participated in during the months of renewal.
The first purchase to augment her existing property in the Beverly Crest community was a 1960’s modern, which the chanteuse acquired three years ago; she spent $10.7 million to call the house her own. The 6,000 sq. ft. home features a living room with a conversation pit, and a media room with walls full of floor-to-ceiling built-in shelves. The property added an acre to Adele’s home across the street.
More recently, Adele picked up another midcentury build. According to Dirt, the singer paid $10 million for it, and took it off the hands of Nicole Richie in an off-market deal. The property is adjacent to the first residence in the area, which she picked up for $9.5 million in 2016.
Adele has released three studio albums and has sold over 120 million records worldwide. Her fourth album has delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic, but should see the light of day when the situation improves.
