Actor Matthew Perry recently sold his penthouse unit in downtown Los Angeles for $21.6 million. Perry purchased the aerie in The Century building back in 2017, dropping $20 million at the closing. The residence popped back up on the open market two years later with a $35 million ask. Its last ask before the recent closing was $23 million, when it reappeared on the open market last month.
The interiors of the unit—which has been informally dubbed ‘The Mansion in the Sky’—were designed by L.M. Pagano, and measure in at 9,290 sq. ft. There’s a lot to like in this property, including a half-moon motif that pops up just often enough to be interesting. The shared living area is loft-like and, like much of the unit, puts some fairly astounding views up on display. There’s also a fair amount of soft texture to take in, with the home theater getting the heaviest treatment.
Outdoor spaces of the high-flying residence include a series of terraces; four in all, with one dedicated to the master suite.
Perry’s upcoming projects include Don’t Look Up, with Jennifer Lawrence, Cate Blanchett, Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Tyler Perry, Ron Perlman, and Chris Evans.
