In the last quarter of 2019, musician Joe Jonas and actress Sophie Turner signed on the dotted line and forked over $14.1 million for this postmodern in Encino. Jonas and Turner were the first owners of the house, which had been completed within months of the sale. Fast forward to 2021, and the home is back, this time with an ask of $16.75 million. The couple has made numerous alterations to the property, mainly to the amenities profile.

The residence’s L-shaped design makes a grassy semi-courtyard of the backyard, where a series of lounging and dining areas is scattered around the pool. But the de facto centerpiece is a built-in tree-hugger bench around a gnarled coniferous elder that has stories to tell. A putting green and patios also feature in the outdoor recreation suite.

Inside the home, amenities come thick and fast. The litany includes a passel of party-oriented options that include a fog machine and a cigar humidor. An outdoor projector, a screening room, a gym, a spa, and a putting green fill out the lifestyle. Imported stone, aged wood and custom cabinetry are among the materials and details of the interiors.

A detached two-bedroom guest house brings the property’s total indoor living area to 15,000 sq. ft., with nine bedrooms and eleven baths throughout.

The Jonas Brothers’ last three studio albums topped the Billboard 200 chart, their most recent being 2019’s Happiness Begins. They are slated to embark on the Remember This Tour later this summer.
