B-52s founding member Kate Pierson’s longtime hospitality compound near Woodstock, New York, is up for sale on the open market. The sylvan spot measures in at 6.5 acres, and includes a bank-to-bank section of Esopus Creek. It’s priced at $2.2 million.
The property is a going concern, apparently; Pierson and visual artist Monica Coleman called it Kate’s Lazy Meadow, and it’s pretty tough to imagine getting much done on vacation here except battery-recharging of the most aggressively potent sort. As a private residence it would have many a consolation, but continuing the business makes it a turnkey opportunity of the highest order. Just don’t let work get in the way of fishing.
The couple clearly went hog-wild giving the existing array of rustic cabins a modern-come-bohemian hipster makeover, and color combinations and artisanal materials abound, as well as a number of thought-out installations. Have a look.
