Singer Howie Dorough — of Backstreet Boys fame — sold his penthouse in Cape Canaveral with little delay. The Florida native completed the transaction in less than a month. The property was listed for $1.595 million in May changed hands for a final price of $1.55 million.

The 2,819 sq. ft. residence was customized for Dorough and completed in 2000. It contains four bedrooms and three baths, and overlooks the beach, nestled between storied Florida artery A1A and the Atlantic.

The property’s interiors take in the views grandly, with an open living area that boasts banks of glass that open to the unit’s wrap-around balcony. The space also features hard-installed, rounded cabinetry with art deco veneer as flourishes.

Other standout spaces include a kitchen with a pantry accessed through butler’s doors and a master suite with a sitting room outfitted with a gas fireplace. Additional details include tile floors, arched doorways, and dramatically recessed tray ceilings.

The hipsters out there may wonder if Howie is related to ‘I’m Hip’ cowriter and jazz vocalist Bob Dorough. Yes indeed. Fourth cousin.

The Backstreet Boys have sold over 100 million records. Their most recent studio release is 2019’s DNA. The DNA World Tour kicked off in 2019 and generated over $90 million in revenue that year. It concludes in 2022.
