Netflix producer Kenya Barris added to his portfolio this spring. Back in March, the Black-ish creator listed a Valley Village property for $1.25 million. Fast forward a few weeks, and Barris is back with a purchase in Toluca Lake.

The property was formerly rented by Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin for nearly $100,000/month, according to Dirt. Barris paid $7.25 million for it. The tropical landscaping, Mediterranean design and lakeside setting are all intensely romantic. There are four en-suite bedrooms in the house, with the owner’s suite offering a bay of large windows overlooking the lake.

The interiors of the 2000-built house are contemporary; the living areas have been given a refresh that is moody and uncluttered, although occasionally glitzy. Amenities include a recording studio, a patio area with a pool and spa that’s surrounded by tropical landscaping, and a gym with a steam shower.

Barris’ recent projects—as screenwriter—include Coming 2 America; the film stars Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, and Wesley Snipes.
