Jeff Franklin has hefted his big, stylized Beverly Hills Post Office residence on the rental market. A month spent living on the producer’s fantastical estate will run you $250,000, but what a summer it would be for a million.

The house is the work of Richard Landry, and bears the particular version of postmodern storybook that is common to his designs, however varied in style. In this case, the ideal is a Southern California Mediterranean-style, with a Palladian dome over the rounded center section as a prominent and characteristically grandiose flourish.
