Sports analyst and founder-CEO of website ‘The Ringer’ is the new owner of this home in Malibu, and the acquisition brings him membership in the La Costa Beach Club. The house is a three-bedroom barn conversion nestled into a quiet little 1.18-acre canyon nook. He paid $4.7 million for it, according to Dirt.

The structure dates to 1940. It now stands as a character-rich centerpiece of a secluded corner of the beachside city, with landscaping incorporating meandering slate paths, stone-and-brick walls and walking paths, a pair of patios, a slate fire lounge, a raised pool with a stone foundation, gardens, and a cute guest house situated midway up the hill behind the home. The main patio features a stone fireplace/pizza oven.

Inside the home, rustic details prevail in the main living area, with a masonry floor, a black-painted brick double-sided fireplace between the kitchen and dining room, and a few exposed beams that have survived the whitewash brightening process that illuminates and liberates the glass-walled rotunda dayroom.
