Beantown legend and recently departed ESPN staff member Paul Pierce put this SoCal residence up for sale in the ‘tween-high holiday period of last year, asking $11 million. The 16,000 sq. ft. property sold this month, although for considerably under that asking price: Pierce accepted an offer of $8.7 million to pass the home onto its new owner.
The amenity-rich residence—the list of trimmings includes a bowling alley and a movie theater—has a lot of space to offer its new residents. Details include the ornate wrought iron gates and balustrade of the main staircase, the foyer’s inlaid tile, the moody tones of the master bedroom, and the many sets of French doors that line the shared living area.
Outside, the property is unabashedly resort-like. A broad loggia, a basketball half-court, a pair of spas, and a pool are highlights.
