NFL wide receiver Brandin Cooks listed this renovated midcentury modern in Hidden Hills toward the end of February, asking a whisker under $5.5 million. The 4,850 sq. ft. residence sold in short order, spending about a month on the market by the time it closed at the tail end of March. The Texans team member took $5.4 million for it.
The home has newer farmhouse elements in its exterior architecture, along with some rusticated masonry that’s been given a thin coat of white paint for a weathered look.
The four-bedroom home’s interiors begin with a set of pivoting glass doors, giving way to a wide-open living area; the single-story layout allows for high ceilings, with retracting glass walls enhancing the sense of space. Revisions have brought new floors into the home—pale oak—as well as a centerpiece linear fireplace accent wall in dramatically figured bookmatched marble.
Views from the back deck are very fine indeed. A BBQ grill area and a step-down pool area put the finishing touches on property.
