Action film star Steven Seagal’s Scottsdale desert contemporary is back on the market this spring, with a price snip that brings the ask down to $3.395 million. That’s about a hundred thousand dollars under Seagal’s 2010 purchase price for the 2001-built house.

The home’s architecture is pleasingly eccentric, with an overall cleanness through extensive use of glass and modern-style balcony balustrades, and a rustic dimension by way of stone and what appears to be some use of reclaimed copper. The home’s outdoor living spaces range far and wide across both levels; succulent-heavy landscaping augments the spare warmth of the living style as it echoes the landscape and mountain views.

The home’s interiors feature stone supports, burnished copper accents, skylights and clerestories, a tiled staircase, and tile floors. Sliding glass opens to the outdoor living and dining areas; apparently, the glass in the exterior walls is bulletproof. Highlights of the terraces include a spa, and a zero-edge pool.

The lot measures 11.92 acres. The property is a golfer’s paradise—it is located mere minutes from half a dozen Jack Nicklaus-designed courses, and a par-54 champion course—and includes a guest house with a full kitchen, a large bedroom suite, and a living area.

Seagal’s most recent film release is 2019’s Beyond the Law, which saw him reunite with late rapper DMX; the pair had starred in 2001’s box office hit Exit Wounds.
