Legendary music star and producer Jeff Lynne is the new owner of this 3,424 sq. ft. home in Brentwood. The house dates to 1950; it occupies a .7-acre hilltop lot in Brentwood. Lynne plunked down an even $10 million for the property.

The place was sold as a custom rebuild opportunity. The flat stretch of land boasts a large lawn, many mature trees, a long walkway, a bocce ball court, a fire pit, and a putting green. Adjacent to the house are a patio with a grill bar, and a pool area with a small pool house or shed.

Inside the single-level home, hardwood floors, sliding glass doors, and bright white walls set an unassuming and uncluttered living style. The kitchen is outfitted with dark-finished hardwood cabinetry and a cooktop island with a stainless ceiling vent.

There is a wood-burning fireplace in the living room, and a matching unit in the master bedroom.

The Electric Light Orchestra sold over 50 million albums in their active period back in the 70s and early 80s. They also charted fifteen top 20 songs on the Billboard Hot 100. The band’s most recent release—as Jeff Lynne’s ELO—is 2019’s From Out of Nowhere.
