A West Hollywood condo owned by Vitasoy heiress Karen Lo appeared on the open market recently. The billionaire from Hong Kong has priced the 2,302 sq. ft. pied-a-terre property in Sierra Towers at $4.75 million. She picked up the unit from Cher for $500,000 more than the current ask, according to Dirt.
The building was designed by architect Jack A. Charney, who also created the Pacifica Hospital. The unit is a combination of two original flats, and is now a duplex with two bedrooms and two baths; according to listing information, combining units is no longer permissible in the 1965-built high-rise.
The property has been designed in an Eastern decorative style, with Moroccan details, rattan blinds on its pocketing glass walls, and stone tile floors. The kitchen sports lattice cabinet doors and island panels, as well as candle and lantern pendants.
A spiral staircase climbs to the upper floor, which is entirely given over to the master suite, a lavish space with more lattice cabinet doors, carved wood, and a raised bed platform; a mirrored backing and a pair of smuggling lanterns complete the feel of the room. The level incorporates a sitting area and a large dressing area and powder room.
Both levels include a private balcony. The views from the outdoor spaces are superb; they offer a panoramic vista of downtown Los Angeles.
The units may be available to purchase separately.
The Lo family’s net worth was estimated at $5 billion in 2017, according to Forbes.
