Kenya Barris listed his Los Angeles residence for sale this month. The ‘Black-ish’ sitcom creator and writer’s home is located in Valley Village, and priced at $1.25 million. Barris is no stranger to L.A. real estate; he picked up a $4.6 million residence in Studio City last year and a $7.6 million new build in Encino in 2019, among other properties.

The house measures in at 2,921 sq. ft., and contains four bedrooms and three baths. The main living area is very open, with the kitchen as the centerpiece in the layout, and a dayroom and family room at a close remove; the latter features a set of glass doors that open onto the outdoor living area. Stone tile floors feature on the ground level.

Upstairs: a switch to hardwood plank for the bedrooms, or at least the master, which is quite large, its scale enhanced by a vaulted ceiling and a sitting area. Outside are lawns front and back, a covered porch, and an outdoor living area.

Barris stars in Neflix sitcom #blackAF, which he created. He is also the creator of television series Black-ish, Grown-ish, and Mixed-ish.
