Serena Williams Puts Beverly Hills Home on the Market for $7.5M

Tennis pro Serena Williams—who has been marketing her own brand of women’s fashions over the last few years—purchased this Beverly Hills residence in the autumn of 2017. A little over three years later finds Williams back in selling mode; the property is back on the open market this month at a shadow under $7.5 million.

The house was a brand-new build at the time the home last closed, and Williams was its first owner. It seems that the purchase was strictly an investment, though, as revisions and alterations cannot be readily spotted. The interiors remain tastefully understated, and quite neutral, relying on natural stone—figured black or white marble—off-white, wide-plank pale hardwood, and a series of contemporary light fixtures for expression.

Notable exceptions to the neutral rule of thumb include a bath papered in dark blue, and the wet bar, which brings a pleasingly creamy shade of green into the mix, setting up a very nice contrast with the black marble of the bar itself.

The home measures about 6,000 sq. ft., and contains five bedrooms and seven baths. Amenities include a fitness room, and the backyard living area, which is accessible through retractable glass and glass doors from the main living area, and anchored by a fairly large kidney-shaped pool.

Williams’ recent real estate activity includes the sale of a Florida Home for $2.8 million. She remains attached to the Sunshine State, as she is reportedly busy building a couple of homes in Jupiter.

Williams may very well be the best female tennis player of all time. She’s won a mind-boggling 23 Grand Slam singles titles—an Open Era record.
