Porsche’s new eBikes for the 2021 outdoor season are here. They’re slick and tech-heavy, and are the result of a collaboration with German e-bike manufacturer Rotwild.

The two models are the eBike Sport and the eBike Cross. Porsche details a “full suspension” frame made of carbon fiber, and design language that recalls the Taycan; in like terms, the marketing photo used for the reveal sneak a Taycan or Taycan Cross Turismo into the background or on a coastal highway, with a pair of eBikes attached via a dedicated rack. Marketing messaging: matched set.

The power assistance in these models comes from a Shimano EP8 motor. Magura brakes are also featured in the builds. The Sport, an urban solution, is outfitted with a Shimano electric gear shifting system, but Porsche is more specific when it comes to the off road-ready Cross—the PR mentions a Shimano XT 12-fold shifting system. Likewise, the Cross comes with Magura MT Trail Brakes and an adjustable Crankbrothers Highline seat.

The Porsche eBike Cross and eBike Sport are priced $8,549 and $10,700, respectively.
