Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber are the newest owners of a penthouse unit in the Miami Beach Ritz-Carlton Residences. According to the New York Post, the couple recently paid $3 million for the property. It had been listed since November of last year.
The condo measures over 2,800 sq. ft. It contains two bedrooms and two baths, and is accessible via a semi-private elevator. Its interiors are bright and open, with a double-height main living area. The kitchen features a long breakfast bar. The outside living space is a wraparound balcony that makes for a spacious outdoor spot.
In the building’s lobby, a sculptural floating staircase is the centerpiece, and a soaring bank of glass panes opens the duplex to views of Biscayne Bay. A tall bank of built-in bookshelves hugs one wall, with a coat of flat black paint that contrasts with the off-white tones used in the shared space.
The Ritz-Carlton Residences’ amenities include an outdoor terrace which has been given a deck treatment in a particularly attractive hardwood. Other amenities in the building include a gym, a children’s room, a game room and lounge with a wet bar, a home theater, a fitness room, an artist’s studio, a golf simulator, and a spa with a yoga studio.
Crawford and Gerber have clearly taken a liking to South Florida; they recently picked up another residence in the area—a gem of a modern—for $9.6 million.
