Indian Motorcycles is getting a jump on spring dreams with a quartet of new centenary Chief models for 2022. The new lineup is built around the Chief, a model which first appeared in 1921.
The 2022 Chief is base-priced at $14,499, this bike offers a great deal to buyers, including bobbed fenders, 64-inch wheelbase, a 19-inch front wheel, and a 1.8L Thunderstroke 111 V-Twin engine that delivers 108 pound-feet of torque.
The Chief Bobber adds about $1.5K to the base sticker price, and includes covered forks, chopped fenders, and a 16-inch wire wheel in front. The Chief Dark Horse raises the entry fee to $17K, but comes with a 4-inch digital touchscreen that looks analog, and a Thunderstroke 116 engine, which produces 120 pound-feet of torque.
Finally, the Super Chief, an even more highway-friendly option with its saddlebags and windshield, starts at $18,999.
The Chief Dark Horse, Chief Bobber Dark Horse, and Super Chief Limited pack a 1.9L twin and add various road-ready features to the base designs for short-term or extended touring, as well as cosmetic touches including classic Indian Headdress graphics.
Expect to see the 2022 Indian Motorcycles Chief lineup at dealerships in April of this year.
