Kate Gosselin’s equestrian estate in Pennsylvania didn’t spend too much time on the market. The property—which occupies 24 acres in the agricultural burg of Wernersville—was listed in the late fall of last year for $1.3 million. It sold for $1.085 million in the final days of January.

The retreat is anchored by a 7,591 sq. ft. farmhouse, although there is a guest apartment over the garage. The highlight of the home’s outdoor living spaces is the 850 sq. ft. deck, which is outfitted with a kitchen and a spiral staircase.

Inside the home the farmhouse elements really blossom, and the living style is a comforting traditionalism. The kitchen boasts a red brick fireplace and a tile stove backsplash with a bronze bas-relief panel at center. Hardwood plank runs throughout the shared spaces, but for some carpeting in the bedrooms, office, and downstairs rumpus room. The 1990s built included plenty of glass.

The acreage is largely given over to forest, but foregrounded by large lawns that drive home the sense of space. A three-stall barn and paddock acreage accommodate equestrianism.
