The concepts from the Porsche Unseen book we’ve covered so far have included the Vision 918 RS hybrid hypercar, the road-legal 919 Street, and a Spyder with a Spartan soul.

This week, look at the Vision 960 Turismo, an idea for a grand tourer EV which helped bring the Taycan into existence as a production car. The car’s fastback styling and abrupt, graceful termination of line in back recall the 928.

All of the examples included in the 328-page book have been developed in the last 15 years. Some of the four-wheeled daydreams are homages to Porsche’s past, and some are forward-looking designs. Many times, these R&D projects revealed usable design elements for other models.
