Singer and ace producer Pharrell Williams relisted his modern in Hollywood Hills this winter with a duesie of a price cut. The golden-eared fellow first listed it in May of this year—tough timing, that—for $11.95 million; it is now asking $9.995 million. Williams picked it up in 2015.
The home stands as homage to high modern architecture—it’s less than twenty years old—and also perhaps a perfecting of it. Transparency, linearity, and Scandinavian design influence carry the day. It’s also a house with a big footprint; single-level, with six bedrooms and six baths across nearly 6,000 sq. ft.
Williams altered the home to taste. Most striking is the green marble master bath, the stone transported in sections and covering floor, walls, ceiling, sink and vanity, and medicine cabinet doors. Amenities on the 1.6-acre property include a 2-level guest house, and a pool that is a top spot on the lot for taking in the panoramic views the location has to offer.
Williams’ recent real estate wheelings and dealings include the sale of an imposing contemporary in Beverly Hills for $14 million and the purchase of a tropically landscaped retreat in Florida for $30 million.
Williams has won 13 Grammy Awards. His hit single “Happy,” off his 2014 album Girl, has sold over 10 million copies.
