Detroit Lions running back Adrian Peterson recently listed another of his Houston area homes. The NFL star and Texas native recently closed on his home in the Woodlands, accepting an offer of $4.7 million. That house was a long time on the market—about four years, apparently—and first listed at $8.5 million.
The home in question is located in the Rivercrest Estates community, and is still for sale for $5.3 million. Peterson picked it up back in 2016, according to public records. Built in 2007, the Mediterranean-inflected mansion and guest house combo spans nearly 11,500 sq. ft. and contains eleven bedrooms and eleven baths. The estate occupies a lot that spans over 3.5 acres.
The home’s interiors are palatial, with stone tile floors, ornamental columns, and carved stone fireplaces. Unusually fine details include a living room with a double-height ceiling and a soaring bank of windows, a dome ceiling the foyer, and an elevated dining room.
Amenities in this house include an office, a library, an aquarium, an elevator, a home theater, and a game room with a wet bar. A pool complex is positioned between the main house and four-bed guest house.
