Retired NBA sharpshooter Chris Bosh handed off his home in Miami Beach this winter to a new owner. The house changed hands for around $15 million.
The former Miami Heat star and two-time champ bought the place in 2010, according to public records, and paid $12.3 million for it. The glassy modern waterfront house was completed in 2009, and spans about 11,450 sq. ft.
The design includes an unusual outdoor flourish—the entry is something of a meditative waiting area, with a water feature and a covered lounge outside the front doors. Inside the home, a very clean, uncluttered look prevails, with details including stone floors, track and grid lighting, and, on the waterfront side, floor-to-ceiling banks of windows. The staircase features a solid balustrade and LED tread illumination.
The home is located on a .55-acre lot overlooking Biscayne, and the master bedroom takes best advantage of the spot with corner glass overlooking the green and blue of the landscaping and salt water. A pool with a sunlounge, a covered summer kitchen and a deep water dock makes this very private spot something of an oasis.
