Following the attractive Yachting Edition Defender of the late summer, the latest from Poland-based automotive tuning shop Carlex Designs is another classic from Land Rover, the grandfather of the SUV.
Carlex chose the same Range Rover model as a foundation for the build this time too, and of course brought to the table their own house style, which is by turns sophisticated and glitzy, and always richly detailed.
Carlex is calling it the Racing Green, and its 85K EUR buy-in price delivers a beefed-up Defender with flared extensions of exposed carbon fiber, graphite rims, and a center racing stripe that highlights the paint color—British Racing Green, of course—which is itself capped with the design firm’s in-house brushed finish. The color scheme extends to the spare wheel cover.
Inside, the Racing Green Defender features upholstery in cognac brown and black—leather and Alcantara, respectively—with emerald green leather trim, and a special wheel that brings cohesion to the interior design. Special badging inside and out, and a plaque sporting each Racing Green Defender’s serial number complete the edition.
