Actioner actor Dwayne Johnson listed this partially wooded equestrian estate in rural Georgia on the open market this week. Mr. Johnson is asking $7.5 million for the property, which—according to public records—he purchased in 2019 for $9.495 million.
The estate is located outside Buckhead, and spans over 46 acres. It is presided over by a European manor-style house with nearly 15,000 sq. ft. of interiors, eight bedrooms, and at least seven baths. Additionally, there is a surviving 19th-century farmhouse original to the property.
The interiors of the 2003-built custom home include many artisanal and historically authentic elements, including Italian plaster, old-growth walnut flooring, stone accents, and exposed beams and supports which appear to be reclaimed. The living room features a mansard ceiling and a towering stone fireplace accent wall; other standout spaces include a tile-floored formal dining room rimmed with a stone-embellished wall of windows and French doors, and a master suite with a wood-paneled library. A pool, pavilion and indoor entertainment space with wet bar are among the amenities.
Auxiliary accommodations on this expansive estate include a guest apartment and a staff apartment, and the grounds are picturesque, with a lake, pastures, and lawns helping to fill out the acreage. Equestrian facilities are comprehensive, and include a 12-stall barn, a hay barn, an arena with a viewing deck, and paddocks.
Johnson’s films have grossed over $10 billion worldwide. His upcoming projects include Jungle Cruise, with Emily Blunt and Paul Giamatti, and Red Notice, with Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds.
