The forlorn, crumpled heap you see pictured below was only recently one of Ferrari’s most beautiful recent models—an 812 Superfast. Nobody was injured in the pricey mishap.
The car is owned by Italian soccer player Federico Marchetti, but he wasn’t the one who took the nearly 800 horsepower supercar into a line of parked cars and a guardrail. Signor Marchetti had left the car at a car wash, and the wreck happened when an employee was returning the car to its owner. A modern exotic is not for beginners.
The 812 Superfast is powered by a naturally aspirated V12. It has a top speed of 211 MPH, and comes with a base sticker of $335K. The model is currently in production for 2021.
