Tobacco-industry scion Susilo Wonowidjolo is the new owner of this 1993-built fantasy in Beverly Hills, according to Dirt. Designed in the style of a French countryside farmhouse, the 7,620 sq. ft. house doesn’t lose the narrative for an instant, with rustic elements throughout—exposed timber, antiqued finishes, stucco walls, raw wood, grooved floors, plank ceilings, and a great deal of red brick.

Highlights of the five-bedroom, nine-bath house include a formal dining room with sets of French doors opening onto the grounds, a games room with a wet bar, and a living room illuminated by a broad bank of multi-plane windows. Upstairs, the hallway is enhanced by a window seat as it leads to a splendid master suite; details of the master include a vaulted ceiling with a skylight, a balcony, and a bath featuring a splash of cobalt blue tile.

The kitchen’s an intense amalgam of familiar European farmhouse design elements, with stenciled tile counter and island tops, a raw ceiling with exposed trussing, unfinished or lightly stained cabinetry, and red brick; it transitions to a sunny dayroom with a window seat and a glass door opening onto the patio. The brick fireplace is the most emphatic common denominator—there’s one in every room.

The grounds are as intoxicating. The 1.35-acre lot occupies a cul-de-sac, and features gardens, walking paths, a beautifully-designed lagoon swimming pool, and a tennis court.

Wonowidjojo’s net worth is north of $5 billion. Along with his family, he owns Gudang Garam, Indonesia’s largest clove cigarette maker.
