Former pitcher Jon Garland closed out 2020 by selling this property in Los Angeles. The retired pitcher sold the Regency-inflected 6,800 square-footer in the Cagney Ranch Estates community of Granada Hills for $2.2 million.

The home features interior living spaces that culminate in a great room with a double-height ceiling and a fireplace. Exposed beams, plank hardwood or tile floors, and custom built-in cabinetry are features of the common areas. The kitchen is warm and surprisingly cozy. Views from most rooms are splendid; the lot is situated on a hilltop overlooking the canyon.

There are seven bedrooms and seven baths in the home, with amenities including a wet bar. The outdoor living area is the crux of the property, however, with balconies, patios, a pergola-capped living and dining area, a 1,100 sq. ft. guest house, a putting green, a pair of outdoor kitchens, and a pool complex with a swim-up bar and waterfall features.

Garland helped the White Sox win the 2005 World Series.
