Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot is the new owner of this condo in Malibu. Gadot shelled out $5 million for the oceanfront retreat, which is the top floor unit in a four-unit, vaguely modern-style building located near the Pier.
The building was completed in 1984; its simple lines and open living style has weathered the years well. Gadot’s condo measures a touch under 2,000 sq. ft., and contains two bedrooms and three baths in a flat layout.
With a step-down living room, a fireplace with a carved mantel, warm hardwood floors and wall of glass overlooking the ocean, the unit sets the right tone of simplicity. The upper-floor units in the building are given a row of skylights, which liberate the shared spaces very well as the ceiling rises above the living and dining area. Blazing white walls and ceiling make the most of the natural light.
Further back is the kitchen, which features stainless, granite and cabinetry in natural-toned hardwood. The master suite is quite large, and boasts a fireplace, a sitting area with an offset bank of clerestory windows, and a dual bath with a soaking tub.
Beyond the wall of sliding glass doors, the outdoor balcony offers solid water and beach views.
Gadot’s upcoming projects include Death on the Nile, with Russell Brand and Armie Hammer, and Red Notice, with Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds. She is also slated to star in Cleopatra and Wonder Woman 3.
