Radio and television personality and host Ryan Seacrest listed his primary Los Angeles-area residence this week. Sure to stave off the cold-weather blues, the three-acre Beverly Hills estate—which was at one time Lawrence Harvey’s. It is asking a cool $85 million. Seacrest bought the property from Ellen DeGeneres back in 2012.

The property is located near Franklin Canyon, and features forested grounds and impressive gardens. The main house dates to the early 1960s; a gracefully Spanish-tinged modern, its living spaces measure in at around 9,000 sq. ft. Additional accommodations on the property include two guest houses, and overall there are seven bedrooms and ten baths at this address.

The Buff and Hensman-designed main house boasts a great room with post-and-beam trussing and clerestory windows; a wide-open space possessing considerable scale, a Spanish-style fireplace, and aged wide-plank hardwood floors with excellent contrast. The kitchen and family room is another gem, working in a brick accent wall and cool earth tones in cabinetry, tile and marble, and opening onto an al-fresco patio capped by a vine-covered pergola.

Other notable interior spaces include the master suite and the wet-bar equipped library/lounge, but the transitional and outdoor living areas deserve special mention. The transition room is both sunny and cozy by way of plentiful steel-framed glass and a wood-burning clay pizza oven; on the grounds are scattered a broad variety of open and intimate living areas, including an Asian-inspired spa, a pool and patio, a striking modernist arbor, and an extensive array of connected, romantic gardens.

Seacrest joined Kelly Ripa as co-host of daytime television show Live With Kelly and Ryan in 2017.

Seacrest’s annual income is consistently north of $50 million. His net worth is said to be in the neighborhood of half a billion dollars.
