Glam metal rocker Bret Michaels has had a busy fall with house buying and selling.
The Poison front man began the autumn with a sale in Westlake Village. That property—a 2.5 acre estate anchored by a 1986-built villa—found a buyer in about a day, and closed at $4.48 million; it had been listed at $4.5 million. Next on the agenda was the purchase of a 6,000 sq. ft. house in Calabasas, which drained $4.8 million from the musician’s coffers.
Michaels is apparently not done shuffling his real estate portfolio; he recently listed his contemporary Pueblo Revival in Scottsdale, Arizona. The 7,400 sq. ft. house contains five bedrooms and seven baths, and has charm to burn. It’s priced at $3.299 million.
Fitting its setting perfectly, the hunkered adobe single-level residence is preceded by a set of decorative First Nations-inspired wrought-iron gates and stacked stone pilasters, and framed by landscaping that favors native flora. The home’s exterior boasts desert-tone walls, vigas, and stacked stone accents.
The home’s interiors are strikingly realized, with tile floors, exposed ceiling timber, and niche shelving, and amenities include an office and a gym. The master suite features a bank of sliding glass doors that open onto a covered porch; other exterior amenities include a lagoon-style pool and patio, a fountain, and various living areas and recreational options, a basketball court and a dirt bike trail among them.
