Actress Ariel Winter listed this recent contemporary farmhouse in Studio City about a month ago. She didn’t have to wait terribly long for an acceptable offer, though, and the $2.9 million asking price was nearly met by the closing price: $2.81 million. The house was completed in 2016, and Winter was, according to public records, the first owner.
The home’s shared living areas boast a superb layout and a number of ornamental flourishes—tray and coffered ceilings, wood trim and doors, a fireplace, contemporary chandeliers. The spaces are broken up by accent walls and partitions, but the feeling is of openness. The kitchen area is more of a suite for entertaining, with display wine storage and a wet bar part and parcel of the whole, segueing seamlessly into a family room with a fireplace.
Other amenities in this five-bed, 5,100 sq. ft. house: a den set up as a games room at the time of the sale, a butler’s pantry, four en-suite bedrooms including a large master with a luxurious bath, and an outdoor living area with a covered patio, saltwater pool and spa, and grill station.
Winter starred in hit television sitcom Modern Family from 2009 to 2020. The series finale aired in April of this year.
