MLB star Manny Machado augmented his Spring Training real estate portfolio with this midcentury modern revival in Coral Gables, which the third baseman picked up for $7.2 million.

The property’s architecture and landscaping are linked in an uncommonly acute manner, with plentiful glass lending transparency for both levels of the shared living spaces, and allowing views of the plantings and gardens to be entirely unobstructed. The house uses stone to add substance to the structure.

The house measures just under 7,500 sq. ft., with seven bedrooms and at least seven baths throughout. The lot extends to about eight-tenths of an acre. A pool with a hardwood sunlounge and cabana, and a front yard bedecked with tropical plantings, complete this sophisticated little spot in South Florida.
