Professional baseball player Carlos Gonzalez has listed his contemporary modern mansion in Orlando, Florida, this fall with a $5.5 million asking price. Gonzalez—who is currently a free agent—has owned the Spring Training-area pad for a little over two years. The house was built in 2016, and public records indicate that CarGo was the home’s first owner.
The house is designed for a luxurious form of efficiency. Living spaces in the house can be closed off or opened up as needed with the push of a button; the adjustable living style of course extends to connecting indoor and outdoor living areas. It is the work of noted local architect Phil Kean.
As it begins with a courtyard, the living style is overtly green, with an eye to the natural world. Luxurious amenities include an elevator, a master wing with a breakfast bar, a guest or staff apartment, and a rooftop terrace that adds nearly 2,000 sq. ft. to the home’s 8,245 sq. ft. of interior living space.
