The Tesla Model 3 has been an attractive prospect for tuning shops over the past few years. Firms like Vilner, based in Bulgaria, as well as Germany’s Novitec, Hong Kong’s RevoZport, and Newport Convertible Engineering of California have all put their unique stamp on the zero-emissions daily driver. The latest company to take on the nimble little ride is Startech, a division of German-based tuning shop Brabus.
Like other tuners who have approached the 3, Startech’s bread and butter is luxury and performance car customization. In tackling Tesla’s utilitarian conveyance, the company began by transforming the staid exterior into a sporty look; 20” rims finished in gloss black, an assertive fascia, a trunk wing, and carbon fiber aero components. A kit that drops the clearance may be optioned.
Inside the Startech 3, the tuning shop opted for sportscar-standard cosmetic materials Alcantara and carbon fiber. Sport pedals and carbon fiber wheel insets add a little flash to the driving experience.
