This recent build in the Beverly Hills Post Office area is now the property of actors Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden. The couple paid $14.695 million for the home in Benedict Canyon, which happens to be a contemporary farmhouse sporting a great deal of glass and an extremely inviting façade.

The property is sizable, measuring in at 1.68 acres. It begins with a gated drive and a guard house with a bathroom.

The interiors of the brand spanking new, 9,287 square-footer blend refinement and rusticity well, and evoke space beautifully. The shared living spaces feature cathedral and double-height ceilings, and clerestory windows augment the sense of liberation. Steel-framed French doors open to the outdoor living area, and wide-plank hardwood runs throughout the home.

There are seven bedrooms and ten baths on the property, including the guest house. The master features a fireplace, a pair of baths, and walk-in closets. Amenities include a guest suite, a media room, and smart features.

The outdoor living area is private and exceedingly inviting. A pool with water features is the centerpiece, with a cabana, patio space and lawn surrounding, all framed by mature trees and shrubs.

Diaz’s films have grossed over $7 billion at the box office worldwide. Among them: The Mask, There’s Something About Mary, and Charlie’s Angels.

Benji Madden is the lead guitarist for Good Charlotte; he formed the band with twin brother Joel. The act sold 10 million units of their breakthrough album The Young and The Hopeless and topped the Billboard 200 chart with the follow-up The Chronicles of Life and Death. Subsequent albums all charted in the top 10.
