Bret Michaels—frontman of the popular 1980s heavy-metal/glam-metal band Poison—listed his romantic estate in Westlake Village for $4.5 million. The home sold molto allegro, with an acceptable offer coming in within a day. The property sold for $4.48 million.
The 1986-built home features villa architecture, and boasts a marvelously extravagant wraparound loggia which, together with the varied plantings of the landscaping, establishes the living style as languorously idyllic. Stone accents and a tile roof add substance and a subtle evocation of the historical to the architecture.
The interiors of the home feature coffered ceilings, French doors, and stone fireplaces. This is a rockstar home, so amenities come thick and fast; the list includes a billiards and games room, a home cinema, a wet bar, another wet bar, and a sports court. Outside, a cabana, long swaths of lawn, an arcade lounge, and a pool in a large paver patio meander over the 2.5 acres of grounds.
Poison is scheduled to join Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe’s Stadium Tour next year as a special guest. The tour kicks off in June and will cover 31 shows, all in the United States.
