NBA All-Star Bradley Beal may currently shoot for the Washington Wizards, but he’s looking to recharge in the off season in Venice, California. This fall, Beal invested in this recent modern-style in the bohemian beachside city; he dropped $6.8 million on the 7,200 square-footer, which was completed only months before the closing.

Inside the home, the expected open common area is the drawing card. It’s a cavernous space, and designed with inspiration from Eastern living styles. A little ornament sneaks into the picture via natural stone and pale hardwood, but overall this is an uncluttered, meditative space. The master suite, too, finds expression in simplicity, with an imposing natural stone accent wall inset with a gas fireplace giving it a bit of understated flash. Amenities include a games room with a lengthy bar.

The five-bedroom home’s exterior living area stretches out on a quarter-acre lot. A pool with water features, a patio, and landscaped rooftop terraces complete this recent addition to the Venice landscape.
