The onetime Los Angeles getaway of French singer Johnny Hallyday hit the open market this month with an asking price of $17.9 million. The 11,878 sq. ft. residence contains seven bedrooms and at least nine baths, and boasts modified Caribbean Colonial architecture.
A romantic spot, then, for an iconic francophone intoner. The 2010-built home’s interiors brood a bit; they feature ebony-finished plank floors, and dark neutral and off-white tones. Highlights of the home include the office, which boasts floor-to-ceiling shelving, and the living room, where a wet bar is sequestered into one corner.
Amenities in this residence include a media room, a gym, a sauna, a wine cellar, and a master suite outfitted with a creative workspace. Outside, the nearly half-acre lot is filled with lawns, mature trees, and a lagoon-ish infinity pool.
Halliday passed away in 2017. He had an illustrious career as a singer in France and was one of its biggest celebrities. He released 79 albums and sold more than 110 million records worldwide.
