The third yachting-inspired automotive treatment to appear this year from Poland-based tuning shop Carlex is the ‘Yachting Edition’ of the Land Rover Defender. The vehicle is currently in the planning stages, but the images below show a final product entirely in line with the firm’s previous nautical-themed treatments.
The spring and summer saw the revealing of the Mercedes-AMG G63 Yachting Edition and the nautically inspired Mercedes-Benz X-Class. The cohesion of the theme made both client-commissioned jobs unusually affecting.
Like the G63 Yachting Edition, the Defender Yachting Edition will feature a rear compartment that is finished in deck-like style with teak plank. The same plank is also used for cabin flooring, and as a dashboard and steering wheel accent material. Sport seats can be optioned in cream or light brown.
Brushed metallic components inside the cabin echo the exterior finish, which boasts a two-tone color scheme of metal and black; special badging and a compass rose on the spare wheel compartment round out the treatment.
