PGA Tour regular Jim Furyk listed his three-bedroom home in Lahaina, Hawaii, this summer. Furyk—who took the honors at the 2003 U.S. Open—is asking $4.7 million for the property, which is nestled within a lush and fairly large lot of land on Maui.
The 2001-built home is located in Kapalua, and overlooks the fairway of the Plantation Golf Course. The property entrance is flanked by stone walls and pilasters capped with mission-style lanterns; amid the forested grounds there are two homes, with the main house featuring a porte-cochère entry and architecture borrowed from tropical bungalow design.
Inside the 4,100 square-footer, a refined rusticity prevails, with hand-laid stone accent walls—including a grand fireplace in the great room, which also features a ceiling supported by buttresses. Stone tile floors, hardwood trim, and backlit tray ceilings are among the additional interior design details of this home.
There two bedroom suites in the home. Both feature glass walls that open to reveal the outdoor living area. A transitional indoor/outdoor living room is also part of the layout of the main home; water and garden views from this space are quite stunning. A pool, and a roughly 700 square-foot guesthouse, round out this quiet golfer’s retreat.
