Editor’s note: the property ended up going to a different buyer.
Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are never out of the real estate news for very long at a stretch. Seeing them into the late summer is this purchase in Miami Beach, a substantial expenditure which reportedly required the duo to shell out $32.5 million for a beachfront house against a $40 million asking price.
The property is located on Star Island. The lot measures in at nearly an acre, with the house correspondingly substantial; its interiors extend to nearly 15,000 sq. ft. and its accommodations amount to ten bedrooms and at least eleven baths.
The 2003-built villa features Florida Mediterranean architecture, with a clay tile roof, ornamental columns, and abundant outdoor living areas including a roof terrace, a loggia, and a covered bar. The home’s interiors feature hardwood plank and inlaid marble floors, backlit tray ceilings, and wood-framed windows and glass doors.
The master suite boasts a fireplace with a carved surround, a sitting room, and a large spa bath with an onyx shower and a soaking tub.
The property’s outdoor living areas end with a deep-water dock. A lengthy swimming pool and spa and a cabana bath complete the property.
Lopez and Rodriguez recently listed their Malibu retreat for $8 million.
